Display:
Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 5600h has 1080P IPS antiglare display with 45% NTSC. The maximum brightness of this laptop is 250 NITS. 45% NTSC display is good for gaming, it is also perfect for video editing, and day-to-day usage, but not for high-level projects. Projects like Where the demand of high color accuracy like in the designing company. The internal display output of Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 5600H is connected through the IGPU. the HDMI output is through Nvidia RTX. Both web camera and microphone quality or good enough for online meetings and chatting. The speaker quality is neither too good nor too bad it’s average.
Design
The top lid is fully made up of high-quality premium plastic, and Top Flex is a little more. The weight is well distributed and in our test, the lid is easily opened by one hand. It is a lightweight gaming laptop that weighs only 2.3kg. on the backside, you will get one charging Port and two air exhaust vent, red color design on the back looks very amazing, and give a Gaming look. On the downside you will get many exhaust vents, that will help prevent CPU heat up.
Ports
Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 5600h has all the necessary ports. On the left side, it has a Kingston lock, One air exhaust vent, 2 USB 3.2 Type-A ports. one Headphone/mic jack combo, and an RJ45 LAN port. Now let’s talk about the trackpad, the trackpad works very well. Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 5600h is a full-size gaming keyboard. As it’s a gaming laptop, it has 4 Zone RGB keyboards in which W, A, S, D, and arrow keys are highlighted. To quickly access Nitro Sense software, near the num lock there is an N key, by pressing it you can run software on the go.
By using Nitro Sense software you can easily customize keyboard RGB effects.
In Nitrosense software, you can not only customize keyboard RGB effects but also see fans’ RPM and some fan controls. Also, you will get some power plans here and can monitor CPU. the keyboard is responsive and gives good feedback on pressing keys. On which you can work during working hours, and play games comfortably during the game hours.
Battery
In gaming Laptops, one of the most important things to know about is battery backup. Here Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 has Acer has 57.5 WHR battery. I put the laptop in balanced mode, with a 60 Hz refresh rate, and installed some games through the internet. The keyboard backlighting is off and during this time I got 3 hours of battery backup which is huge. So Acer Nitro 5 is also very good in terms of battery backup.
Upgrades
Acer Nitro 5 has 2 RAM slots and One HHD slot. In Acer nitro 5 3060 by default you will get 1TB HHD and 16GB of RAM. You can upgrade the RAM up to 32GB, by using another empty RAM slot. You also get two SSD slots, in which One slot is occupied with 250 GB, while another one is free. So in the future, you can easily upgrade some components like upgrade RAM to 32GB by adding a 16 GB stick.
Performance
To calculate the CPU performance of Acer Nitro 5, we run Cinebench R23 and Geekbench 5.
Cinebench R23 and Geekbench 5 are the software that tells the power of the CPU. So, on
Cinebench R23 software the multicore score of Acer nitro 5 is 9058 points, while the single-core score was 1304 points. After running Geekbench 5, we found the following result. the Multicore score was 5691 points and the single-core score was 1307 points.

After doing this we also run another software on Acer nitro 5 called 3D mark time spy. The overall score of 3D mark time spy was 7247 points which the CPU score is 6409 points. The Graphics score is 7452 points. This laptop doesn’t have an optical disk but has a 720p webcam which is perfect for streaming and video conferencing. It doesn’t have a fingerprint, but the touchpad us multi-gesture. Acer Nitro 5 has a Hexa core process, which means it has 6 cores. Comes with a dedicated 6 GB of the GDDR6 graphics card.
Gaming Performance
Now it’s about its gaming performance, so first of all we tested Apex Legends on high settings. The game runs smoothly, and can’t find any lags or distractions, gaming performance is excellent. During this game CPU temperature didn’t cross 90 degrees, the CPU clock was locked on 3700. After that, we have tested another game called Farcry 5 on a high setting. The game run so smoothly the FPS rate was 80 to 100 and the CPU temperature are between 85 to 88 degrees didn’t cross 90°. so overall gaming performance of Acer nitro 5 is excellent.
Other
Acer Nitro 5 supports 64bit operating and comes with Window 10 home genuine. It has a built-in speaker, dual built-in microphones. The immersive audio performance also supports window spatial sound for PC GAMING. Both microphones are compatible with Cortana voice, it also supports TrueHarmony technology. Support WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and killer Ethernet E2600. Acer Nitro 5 comes with some software include, including Nitrosense software, Acer Product Registration, PC Manager GOTrust, and Acer Care Center.
