ASRock B550 Taichi is one of the best b550 motherboards for AMD Ryzen 3rd Generation and 2nd generation processors. We know that X570 motherboards are capable of delivering better PCI gen 4 performance with more lanes but this motherboard almost does the same and is more AMD compatible because it is made for AMD CPUs. This motherboard is one of the most solid B550 motherboards and its build quality is just super.
Out Of The Box:
Out of the box, you will get some cable ties that will be used to hide your cables and help you in proper cable management, you will get a large guide for the motherboard installation, and get some stickers with a disc. And for opening screws, you will get a screwdriver and a couple of SATA cables which you can use to connect your SSDs or hard drive to the motherboard.
Design:
The design of this motherboard is one of the best designs I have ever seen in b550 motherboards because it comes with a beautiful large Taichi logo which is colored in completely golden with grey color background, and around that, you will find large heat sinks for your M.2 SSDs is which gives an awesome look to the overall motherboard.
Features:
This motherboard comes with dual-channel or 4 DIMM slots which will support ddr4 RAM, and if overclocked RAMs then it can support to 5200MHz of RAMs, and both channels will have a maximum capacity of holding 64GB ram so on both channels total it can support upto 128GB of RAM. On the left side of the DIMMs slots, you will find a standard ATX 24-Pin power connector. This motherboard has 8 SATA ports which you can use to connect your hard drives or SSDs, there are some vendors in USB headers and power and buttons and some more RGB headers.
PCIe Slots:
This motherboard comes with 5 PCIe slots, 2 of them are X1 slots and 3 are x16 slots. The advantage of using 3 PCI slots give you access to the 3 way AMD Crossfire so that you can connect upto 3 GPUs at a time with this motherboard and will boost the Gaming performance extra much.
Front I/O:
ASRock B550 Taichi has Wi-Fi 6 which comes in 2 WIFI connectors at the front Input/Output panel. There you will find a clear CMOS button with a single display and single HDMI port. At front i/o you will also get 4 USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and a 2.5Gb/s Intel LAN and a USB type-c Port with some more USB ports there.
