Gaming Performance

The clock speed of the Core i7 is higher than the clock speed of Intel core i5-8250U, it is just a slight difference which 1.15 GHz and 1.10 GHz. The best clock speed of both i7-8550U and i5-8250U are the same which is 100 MHz. Both CPUs use the same Thermal Design Power (TDP) 15 w. Both i7-8550U and i5-8250U are laptop-based CPUs.

In gaming performance, intel i7-8550U is better than Intel i5-8250U. Both of these CPUs has the same number of Cores and Threads but different clock speed. intel i7-8550U we’ll run all the latest games smoothly because it has a more powerful GPU than i5-8250U. In terms of overall gaming performance, both CPUs are powerful GPUs and have the same Cores.

Intel i7-8550U is a little Faster and performing well in Gaming because its clock speed is 0.2 GHz more than i5-8250U. Another reason is that intel i7-8550U has 8MB Of Level 3 Cache which is more than Intel i5-8250U. intel i7-8550U has the capability of storing more data than i5-8250U, other features are the same. Both CPUs have the capability to run all the latest most demanding games.

Core i7-8550U is powerful and faster than Core i5-8250U in performance, but the difference is not so much. Core i7-8550U is a bit advanced than i5-8250U, i7 has 8MB of level 3 cache while Core i5 has 6MB. The maximum clock speed of i7-8550U is 30% more than Core i5-8250U. Overall Core i7-8550U is 10 % faster than Core i5-8250U but in terms of price it in terms more price i7 is more prices in i5.
