Intel Core i9 10900F Review:
Intel Core i9-10900F was released on Apr 30th, 2020 by intel, it is based on 14nm+ architecture and it comes with an Intel Socket 1200. Intel Core i9 10900F is an Intel Comet Lake processor it has a capacity to handle up to 128GB of ram, and the memory supported by this processor will be DDR-4 2933MHz, It has dual channels for memory.
This Intel Core I9-10900F doesn’t have any integrated graphics and it is also not overclockable, on the other hand, Intel Core i9-10900K can be overclocked because it is a K version and K means the processor can be overclocked but there is a price difference between both processors. Although you can do customizations in your power settings from your bios in this Core i9-10900f processor which will also give you a boost in performance or you can make it more efficient. Intel Core i9-10900K comes with a stock cooler but if you want your processor temperature better then buy a high-end cooler for it.
Performance:
It comes with 10 cores and 20 threads having a base clock of 2.8 GHz and a turbo or boost clock up to 5.0 GHz. It has a multiplier of 28.0x and but is not unlocked. It has a bus speed of 8 GT/s. It comes with 64Kb of L1 Cache in every core inside it which means (10x64KB) because it has 10 cores, and it has an L2 Cache of 256Kb in every core which means (10x256KB) and the L3 Cache inside this processor is 20MB which is a very high amount of cache.
It comes with PCI Generation 3.0 slots with 16 Lanes with the configuration of Up to 1×16, 2×8, 1×8+2×4.
AMD Ryzen 9 3950X vs Intel Core i9-10900F:
Here the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X has beaten Intel Core i9-10900F on the basis of power consumption because Ryzen 9 3950X has a maximum TDP of 146W where it has a maximum TDP of 170W. Intel is just losing the race here on its most prioritized portion which was power consumption and efficiency of their processors, but after 10th gen intel is getting dull.
Advantages Over 11th Gen Intel Processors:
1st Advantage:
Intel Core i9-10900F is one of the best intel 10 Core processors, this 10th Gen core I9 is better than the 11th gen processors of Intel because it has 10 cores but the 11th generation of Intel processors has the maximum number of 8 cores. Because it has 10 Core so you will get a big advantage while you are doing multitasking or playing some big games. the core count means the most so if any processor is having more chords I will just probably go for that processor which will be the best for me.
2nd Advantage:
There is one more big of this Intel Core i9-10900F over the Intel 11 generation processors that are that it has a 125 w TDP low power consumption as compared to 11 generation processes they will consume more energy and power but will have less and will perform then this Intel Core i9-10900F why multitasking and other simultaneous works.
3rd Advantage:
The third advantage of this Intel Core i9-10900F over the 11 generation processors is that if ASRock motherboard then it won’t give any bios update over 11 generation processors, so be sure to check your motherboard for compatibility and supports before buying processor.
TDP:
If we talk about the power consumption of this process then it comes with a base TDP of 65 watts, but this is not the official TDP because it is driven by the base frequency which is PL1 but it has an actual TDP of PL2 both have different maximum limits so PL1 comes with a maximum limit of 170W and PL to comes with a maximum limit of 224W which is the proper TDP of this processor.
Temperature:
Intel Core i9-10900F is still one of the best Intel 10 Core processors because it has an average CPU temperature of 70 – 75 centigrade which is so good for any 10th generation processor and it has a maximum running temperature of 93C. With 170W FPU test it gave up to a maximum temperature of 83W. But if we put a high-end and good cooler for it then it will give the maximum temperature up to 80C only, so here for this processor, you need a good cooler too.
Price:
Intel Core i9-10900F has a very affordable price of around $300, this price is fair enough for any 10th generation and 10 Cores processor.
